I bought this glove from Value Village a couple of years ago when a friend visiting from abroad wanted to see Value Village. It's not a colour I would have normally chosen (powder blue), but I fell in love with it because it went well with most of my coats (each of which has a strong colour). It's a thick fleece, and incredibly comfortable.

HOW IT WORKS

If you have a single glove, e-mail me a photo of it. Tell me its size, whether it is left or right, and your location (city and neighbourhood). If you wish, write a little story about acquiring or losing it.

I will post it here. It will be either a close or creative (= anything from 'same style, different colour' and 'same colour, different style' to 'in my mind they are a perfect match'!) partner to someone else's single glove. When someone who sees your glove decides that it will be a good partner to their single glove, you can reduce waste and increase happiness by giving your spare glove to that person. This is a sharing, specifically a gift-giving zone, just like other free-cycling zones--no commerce or bartering around here!

If you find a glove you like on the site, e-mail me, and I'll put you in contact with the glove owner. That might change in the future.

Presently I expect that people in the same locale can meet to transfer the glove to the new owner, or arrange a "porch-pickup". For long-distance, must-have-that-particular-glove! instances, we need some creative solutions. A friend suggested snail mail. That would work with light, thin gloves, but cost too much with bulky gloves. So this is a work in progress, and I am open to suggestions to improve the project. So far the best policy is "go local".

ALSO... If you find a glove somewhere, and there is no lost and found desk to take it to, I suggest you leave it there, photograph it and post your photograph in one of these great sites: Unloved Glove (global), Lonely Glove Project (New York), and long lost (g)love (global, presently with most submissions from New York).
